Ribbons

This page is yet another amazing idea from Orange Crafts. At first glance, it looks like just a bunch of ribbons, but upon closer inspection, you find little eyeballs peekng through. Stephanie put this page together so I do not have progress photos, but it is pretty straight forward.
DIY Quiet Book Peek a Boo Page
Materials:
* Various ribbons with widths adding up to 7.5-8"
* 8 buttons 1/4" in diameter
* 9"x9" of reinforcement and muslin
* Felt for fruit and eyes
* Embroidery Floss (Smiles and Stems)
* Pattern (Fruit)

Fruit:
* Cut fruit from felt
* Cut small white circles from felt (like 1/2"-3/4" diameter)
* Using template, arrange fruit on page
* Hand sew fruit to page (going through reinforcement)
* Position buttons over felt circles and sew on eyes
* Add stems

Ribbon:
* Place ribbon vertically along top of page leaving space for the eyeballs to show through and pin
* Sew along top of page with zig-zag stitch
* Place ribbon horizontally across page leaving space for the eyeballs to show through and pin
* Sew along one side
* Weave ribbons together then sew along unsewn edges

We omitted the 1 1/2" binding because there is already ribbon, so Stephanie put an orange ribbon on the side that would be bound.
