Soon after returning from Italy, I began to notice "yarn cakes" everywhere. Honestly, I felt like they were calling to me to make something. I just loved the blocks of bright colors and how they melted into each other. Before I knew it, I bought 3 without the faintest idea of what I would make. Then, I saw the perfect stitch on Pinterest and a scarf was born. Since I didn't come up with this stitch I'll tell you how I constructed the scarf but refer you to the original stitch over at MyPicot (which is perhaps the best site for discovering crochet stitches).
